Healthcare Case Study
Type 2 Diabetes Patient Journey & Treatment Satisfaction (US Adults)

Project Overview :
A quantitative healthcare study with US adults aged 35–70 diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes and currently on prescription therapy, conducted via CAWI to map the diagnosis-to-treatment journey and measure satisfaction with current treatment regimens.
Challenge :
The study required careful medical screening without exposing sensitive diagnosis details prematurely, maintaining respondent comfort on personal health topics, and completing 120 interviews with a 25-minute LOI while controlling incidence-driven costs.
Solution :
Our CAWI approach with staged medical screening proved ideal:
- Privacy-First Design : Sensitive medical questions placed after engagement was established, reducing drop-off.
- Staged Screening : Diagnosis and treatment status confirmed progressively to protect incidence and respondent experience.
- Health Literacy Balance : Questionnaire language reviewed for accessibility across education levels.
- Fraud Controls : Medical diagnosis claims validated through consistency checks and open-end verification.
Project Results :
Target: US Adults 35–70, diagnosed Type 2 Diabetes, on prescription therapy.
N Size: 120 completed interviews.
Incidence Rate (IR): 18%.
Length of Interview (LOI): 25 minutes.
Field Time: 7 days.
Delivered on spec within the field window. Insights on treatment satisfaction, adherence barriers, and unmet needs directly informed the client's patient support program strategy.
